gender payGender pay reporting was supposed to come into force on 1st October 2016.  We were expecting draft legislation over the summer.

We do however understand that the Government Equalities Office has confirmed that gender pay reporting has been delayed until at least April 2017.  We are expecting draft legislation in the Autumn.

The proposed measures have been criticised for not assisting with statistical analysis so being rather useless for comparison purposes.  The delay has not been explained so could be as flaws are recognised or due to the current political climate.

(Our news section brings you the latest news on published judgments and cases which are all in the public domain. We only comment on these published cases and not cases of our actual clients. Publication of the case or comments is a public service designed to make the courts and tribunals more accessible and ensures justice is seen to be done. This is why court and tribunal judgments are published publicly.)
