The Government has published its response to consultation on reforming the current legislation concerning employment agencies and employment businesses. It will adopt a number of proposals not least of all the removal of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations and the Employment Agencies Act introduced over the last 40 years. They are to be replaced by a “simpler” regulatory framework.

Consultation will soon be underway on the draft legislation itself. As always it is better to have a say on these matters rather than criticise them once implemented.

Publication of the case or comments is a public service designed to make the courts and tribunals more accessible and ensures justice is seen to be done. This is why court and tribunal judgments are published publicly.)
