shared parental leaveIn preparation for the forthcoming family friendly changes to legislation, the Government has issued two forms of guidance on shared parental leave.

The first is for employers and explains the changes which will take effect for babies due to be born on or  after 1st October 2015 and is a guide for employers.  You can read this here. The second is a more technical guide for employers which goes into more detail summarising how it will operate, answering frequently asked questions and giving worked examples.  The technical guide can be found here.

Employers need to consider these documents or take advice and amend any existing policies to cover these forthcoming changes.

(Our news section brings you the latest news on published judgments and cases which are all in the public domain. We only comment on these published cases and not cases of our actual clients. Publication of the case or comments is a public service designed to make the courts and tribunals more accessible and ensures justice is seen to be done. This is why court and tribunal judgments are published publicly.)
