tribunal decisionsThe HM Courts and Tribunal Service has announced plans to introduce a new online database of employment tribunal decisions. This will take the form of a new database which anyone can search online. It is expected to go live this Autumn. It will include judgments from England, Wales and Scotland and will initially only cover new judgments. No decision has yet been made as to the conversion of existing judgments onto the database but given the volume of decisions made this is unlikely as this time when resources are under pressure.

Employer who find themselves featuring in the database without representation may find themselves in receipt of marketing material or sales calls from employment law representation providers. Some in the market are known to already deploy a similar technique using information they obtain already and now the information will be more freely available. Watch this space for more information.

(Our news section brings you the latest news on published judgments and cases which are all in the public domain. We only comment on these published cases and not cases of our actual clients. Publication of the case or comments is a public service designed to make the courts and tribunals more accessible and ensures justice is seen to be done. This is why court and tribunal judgments are published publicly.)
