Sarah King Employment Solicitor

Back in 2006 the law on TUPE was clarified (if not rewritten) and part of the employment law changes scheduled for this year was that the TUPE law would be rewritten again.  There was talk of an October start date for the new regulations but it has been announced today that this will be delayed until the 2014.  The date is not certain.

Whilst this may come as a surprise to some, given we are already in September next week, the delays are not really a surprise given the complexity of the law on this topic. The introduction of a service provision changeover was a new one into the Regulations in 2006 and it is this area in particular that will be under review.

As always watch this space.
